Our mission at, The National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia, is dedicated to promoting the values and virtues of our patron saint, “Saint Rita of Cascia” known as a healer, reconciler, and  peacemaker.
Her spirituality is pervasive in the atmosphere of the Shrine which welcomes all who seek to spend time in various modes of peaceful reflection whether in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, among inspiring works of art, partaking in the St. Rita novena, or through the offering of the sacrament of reconciliation and the holy sacrifice of the Mass.
At the Shrine our hope is to provide a prayerful environment for all who seek to reflect on their call to follow the ways of Saint Rita.
Our hope, through the grace of God, is to open whatever is closed—
the church to all people,
hearts to God’s love,
minds to God’s story, and
lives to be instruments of change
