This is an original photo print done by Fr. Dan McLaughlin, O.S.A.  a frier here at the Shrine.  The image is called, St. Rita Contemplating the Passion of Christ.  The technique he used is called Painting with Light.  Fr. Dan describes the technique this way:  ”When working on this process the studio is completely dark; the camera shutter is left open and a hand held light was used to light, or paint as it were, the different portions of St. Rita, the rose, the book and the background.  The many exposures are then combined to create the final image.”

This print is offered unframed or framed with a mat. Each order is individually done by Fr. Dan and signed by him.   The highest quality archival photo paper is used and after printed is then given a protective spray to prevent moisture damaging the print.
