Saint Rita Altar |

 The altar dedicated to Saint
Rita in the upper church is decorated with an original relief of the saint contemplating
the crucified Jesus. In the tabernacle atop the altar is contained a relic of the saint
before which the faithful offer their prayers and light devotional candles. This altar is
a special place of petition to all pilgrims to the shrine, but especially during the
Solemn Novena each May.
