We Are a Pilgrim People

From sea to shining sea, the shrines of the United States stand ready. We share a common goal to help our visitors and pilgrims find community, sacrament, healing and purpose.

The National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia is a member of NASPA, the National Association of Shrine and Pilgrimage Apostolates.

NASPA is a community of shrines from across the United States, and the association is recognized by the USCCB. Its purpose is to promote and give new meaning to pilgrimages as an experience of renewal and evangelization to a pilgrim people.  To achieve these goals, NASPA strives to cooperate with diocesan directors of pilgrimages, other pilgrimage leaders and individual pilgrims, so that the pilgrimage experience will be a true spiritual journey from beginning to end.

As a member of NASPA, the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia is eager to serve the people of God, both by promoting our own ministries, and by promoting the benefits of visiting our friends.
