Do you find yourself mentally, physically, spiritually, socially, or emotionally burdened?

As the Patron Saint of the Impossible, Saint Rita offers her prayerful intercession to anyone who is sick, distraught, or struggling.

Throughout her life, Saint Rita handled hardships with patience and grace, from the murder of her husband to the death of her sons. As a nun, she lived with the stigmata on her forehead for over a decade. As a peacemaker, she sought to bring healing among people by fostering discourse and offering a patient, listening ear.

To pray for healing in our own lives, the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia offers a special Healing Mass on the third Sunday of the month, September through May, at 12:00 p.m. Noon.

Each Healing Mass includes an anointing with Saint Rita holy oil, a recitation of the Novena Prayers to Saint Rita of Cascia, and the veneration of her relic.

We welcome all who seek healing and health to join us as we implore the powerful intercession of our patroness, the saint of the impossible.

If you can't join us in person for the Healing Mass each month, be sure to check out the Augustinian Journey App for a recording of the homily and Novena prayers.
