The staff and Augustinian Friars at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers as you mourn the loss of your loved one.

Through private prayer and public funeral rites, we comfort those who mourn, strengthen our faith and hope, and bury the bodily remains of our beloved deceased with care. It is our sincerest desire that the funeral liturgy for your loved one will represent a celebration of their life on earth and the promise of eternal life that is to come.

Funeral Liturgy Form

“In him the hope of blessed resurrection has dawned, that those saddened by the certainty of dying might be consoled by the promise of immortality to come. Indeed for your faithful, Lord, life is changed not ended, and, when this earthly dwelling turns to dust, an eternal dwelling is made ready for them in heaven.”
