Pastoral Counseling

Using the resources of spirituality and psychology, pastoral counseling is a way to address specific issues or challenges in your relationships and life; anywhere you’ve gotten “stuck.” Set goals and work on how to meet them with your counselor. Counseling can last for a few sessions or a longer period of time, depending on your needs and goals. Individuals, couples, and families are welcome. Find a way through a difficult time with the insights of faith and psychotherapy.

To learn more, contact Fr. Jim Paradis, O.S.A., D.Min., the Shrine’s Director of Outreach Ministries.

Spiritual Direction

How can I explore God’s activity in my life? Am I seeking a guide to help me live a more centered and aware life, growing in virtue? Do I need help discerning where God is calling me? Do I desire to focus more on what is true, what is important, and what is life-giving? One-on-one spiritual direction meetings occur monthly for an agreed-upon period of time. In dialogue with a Spiritual Director, listen deeply to God’s voice in the journey of your life.
