If you are looking for a place to worship, we would be honored to have you join us
for Mass, Confession, and devotional prayers at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia.

  • If you are visiting the Shrine for Mass on the weekend, please make use of the C.A.T.C.H. parking lot located around the corner on 15th Street. Directions can be found here.

Two-hour street parking is also available on Broad Street and around the Shrine. If you park in the middle of Broad Street (this is a South Philadelphia quirk) you can park for as long as you like. However, please do not park in a turn-lane or on any striped pavement — you may be ticketed or towed. When looking for parking around the Shrine, please use the utmost caution.

  • From the South: Take I-95 north to Exit 17 (Broad Street). Proceed north on Broad approximately 1.5 miles to Broad & Federal Street. The Shrine is on the left between Federal and Ellsworth Streets.

From the North: Take I-95 South to Exit 20 (Columbus Blvd/Washington Ave). Proceed along Columbus Blvd., then take a right turn onto Washington Ave. Take Washington Ave. about 1 mile, then turn left onto Broad Street. The Shrine is one block ahead on your right.

From the Walt Whitman Bridge: On I-76, take Exit 349 (Broad Street). Proceed north on Broad Street approximately 1.5 miles. The Shrine is on the left between Federal and Ellsworth Streets.

From the Benjamin Franklin Bridge: Exiting the bridge, follow signs for 95 North. Follow the directions "From the North" written above.

On SEPTA Subway: Take the Broad Street Line and get off at the Ellsworth/Federal stop. The Shrine is on the west side.

  • The Shrine has an elevator to allow access to both the Upper Shrine and the Lower Shrine. You'll find the elevator in the glassed-in lobby at the end of the breezeway (located to the left of the main entrance of the church on Broad Street).
