Virtual Bulletin

OSA FRIENDS

OSA Friends is an association whose members have an interest in learning about St. Augustine’s theology and spirituality. OSA Friends already exist in several parishes staffed by the Augustinians in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. OSA Friends is now looking to expand its presence in the Augustinians parishes in South Philadelphia. Anyone interested in learning about St. Augustine, his thought and spirituality is asked to contact Fr. Jim Keating at St. Augustine’s Parish at Fourth and Vine Streets in Philadelphia or to call him at 215-629-6351 for more information.

PROJECT NONNA

Project Nonna is a ministry of St. Paul Parish that seeks to help the elderly in and around South Philadelphia, as well as their caregivers who might need a mental health break. If you know someone who would benefit from a friendly visit by one of our volunteers (including nurses, social workers, and kind neighbors) please contact the rectory at St. Paul Parish: 215-923-0355.

You are invited to support the Augustinian Defenders of the Rights of Poor (A.D.R.O.P.), a ministry that has a huge impact here in South Philadelphia and beyond, by connecting those in need with known resources.  Among its many ministries, A.D.R.O.P operates the Unity Clinic which provides healthcare to people who do not have insurance, offers educational programming including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and ministers to those who are incarcerated, getting out of prison, and their families.

On Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., A.D.R.O.P. will host its annual Mass of Thanksgiving and Bunch at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia to raise funds to continue to support its ministries.
